What it is
Carmen is a career coach who remembers your goal, your background and what you decided last time. She brings in a specialist for each step: strategy, research, résumés and LinkedIn, live interview practice, and the raise or negotiation conversation. Practice happens out loud, and every score quotes what you actually said.
What was hard
- A conversation, not a chatbot
- Live voice with real turn-taking: the interviewer waits while you think, handles interruptions, and doesn’t talk over half-finished answers.
- Feedback you can check
- Every point on the scorecard quotes what the candidate actually said. Code verifies each quote against the transcript before it is shown, so the AI can’t put words in anyone’s mouth.
- One coach, many specialists
- Carmen holds the goal and the plan; strategy, research, résumé, practice and communication each run as their own specialist. The handover has to feel like one person who knows you, not six chatbots.
- Honest by default
- The résumé writer only writes what the person can back up, and the researcher shows its sources. Nothing is invented, because an interview is where a made-up claim gets found out.
- AI costs under control
- Language models were moved between providers when a cheaper one held up in testing, with scoring drift measured before switching.
